Awards

AGJ will confer annual awards in order to promote Japanese cuisine on a national and international level for the purpose of supporting the growth of the restaurant industry and to elevate the cultural value of chefs.

Four international grand prix awards and four national awards will be awarded by IAG.

Each Academy from each country can nominate one chef per each of the grand prix and national awards. IAG will select one overall winner for each of the grand prix awards and for the national awards, IAG will certify one winner per category for each country. The recipients of these awards have since become influential figures on the global stage and in particular, the “Chefs of the Future” prize has become one of the most prestigious prizes in the world for up and coming chefs around the world.
